Meditations


As we develop this section we hope to give some useful and thought provoking suggestions for meditation subjects. But to start we're including some useful material, including some of Buddha's teachings. They may seem repetitive to a modern reader, but bear in mind that they were created in the oral tradition.

While the Diamond and Heart Sutras may seem obscure, don't reject them too quickly. Their lessons are at the heart of Zen mysticism.

We will discuss them from an NLP point of view in the coming weeks.

This is a wonderful, accessible and very thorough modern guide to the art of meditating.

Meditating on the Breath is the major first step. Here's what Buddha had to say.

Thich Nhat Hanh's book "Breathe! You are Alive" has some very interesting modern ways of interpreting it. It will especially appeal to people trained in NLP.

Meditation on meaning at its deepest - the Prajnaparamita Diamond Sutra.

This lovely little poem has a thoughtful description of the meditative state as well as wonderful imagery at the end.

This is more a Resolution than a Meditation, but it is something you may care to think about.
